The short version
- This site has no forms, accounts or online payments. We never ask for your name, email or phone number here.
- We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages help people. It uses cookies.
- We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
- If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Google Analytics does not load at all.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. When you visit, Google Analytics may collect the pages you view, how you reached the site, your device and browser type, your approximate location (city level, based on your IP address), and whether you tapped a Call or Directions button. It sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) to tell repeat visits apart.
We do not send Google your name, phone number, email or any other information that identifies you, and advertising features (ad storage, ad personalization and ad user data) are turned off for every visitor. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies are off by default.
Google processes this data under its own terms. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can also block Google Analytics on every site with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. We keep Google Analytics data for no more than 14 months.
Google Maps
The map on our home page loads only when you click Show map. Once it loads, Google receives standard technical information such as your IP address and browser details, and may set its own cookies, under the Google Privacy Policy. The Directions and Apple Maps links open those services, which have their own privacy policies.
Hosting and security
The site is hosted on Amazon Web Services and delivered through Cloudflare. Like any website, these providers receive technical information needed to deliver and protect the pages, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request, and may keep it briefly in server and security logs.
When you call or email us
If you call us or email us, we use what you share (for example your name, phone number, email and vehicle details) only to answer you and provide our service. We do not add you to marketing lists.
Links to other sites
Links to Yelp, Facebook, Google reviews, the Bureau of Automotive Repair and the DMV take you to sites we do not control. Their privacy policies apply there.
Your choices
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser or extension sends a GPC signal, this site does not load Google Analytics.
- Do Not Track: browsers do not apply the older Do Not Track signal consistently, so this site does not change its behavior for it. Use Global Privacy Control or the opt-out add-on above instead.
- Cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works fully without them.
Children
This site is meant for drivers and vehicle owners. It is not directed to children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site handles information, we will update this page and the effective date at the top.
